LeBron James' Los Angeles home was vandalized a few days ago, with the culprits reportedly tagging the mansion's gate with the N-word. Yes, this is 2017. And yes, stuff like this still happens.

Chance The Rapper appeared on The View, earlier today (June 1) where he was asked about the incident and the Chicago MC didn't seem surprised. "It's kind of a common pattern in America's history," Chance said. "People who look like me get to a certain point success—I mean LeBron James, to me, is the greatest of all time basketball player. People want to remind you, well how they view you, as a second class citizen. And you know, it's not much you can do other than keep thriving. Shout out to LeBron."

James addressed the incident while talking to reporters yesterday (May 31). "Hate in America, especially for African Americans, is living every day," said the Cleveland Cavaliers forward, who will be playing in Game 1 of the NBA Finals tonight. "And even though that it's concealed most of the time, even though people hide their faces and will say things about you and when they see you they smile in your face, it's a life every single day."
