Chance The Rapper definitely has friends in high places. The Chicago rapper recently announced he will be curating and performing at the upcoming Obama Foundation Summit Concert, later this month.

Taking place in Chicago on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, the two-day event will draw leaders from all over the country to discus pressing issues. It will close out with a show featuring Chance and also  Gloria Estefan, the National and some special guests. Chano revealed the news via a YouTube video. "As soon as I heard about the summit I jumped at the opportunity," he noted. "There’s a lot of great things going on Chicago and I love the collaborative effort of being able to be at some of these talks and hear what people have going on and figure out how I fit in.”

He added, "I'm excited to see Gloria Estefan and The National and...well I can't say right now. But, all my friends that are coming. It's gon' be fire.

Obama Foundation CEO David Simas is looking forward to the event, which he is describing as a meeting of the minds. "With the Obama Foundation Summit, we’re bringing together young leaders from across Chicago, the country and the world to share ideas,” he said. “We look forward to joining these leaders, Chance, Gloria Estefan, and The National in an event that inspires individuals to see themselves as change agents and celebrates civic engagement.”

We're hoping Chance breaks out some new music. He recently performed a new track on The Late Show.
