Coolio Arrested With Gun in Los Angeles Airport

When will people learn that taking a firearm into the airport, post September 11, 2001, is probably one of the dumbest things a person can do? When Sway?? Add Coolio to the list of rappers who have been arrested for having a hand gun in the airport.

The "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper was taken into custody earlier today (Sept. 17) at Los Angeles International Airport along with members of his crew and accused of trying to get the gun past a security checkpoint.

According to TMZ, a book bag belonging to one of the members of the crew was flagged by TSA and upon further investigation was determined to contain a loaded gun. The site states one of the MC's people took the rap for the bag, but witnesses say it was in Coolio's possession.

In the above video, you can see the hand-cuffed rapper being put into the back of a squad car and driven away.

The situation is currently under investigation with authorities combing security footage to determine who possessed the bag. A rep for Coolio says the gun belongs to a member of the rapper's security and Lio is fully cooperating with authorities to get this situation figured out.

The number of rappers who have been arrested in airports with guns is ridiculous. Last January, Benzino was popped in Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport with a loaded gun.

In June, T.I.'s daughter was arrested at the same airport and charged for attempting to carry a gun through security.
