Bruno Mars To Host + Perform on Saturday Night Live

Singer Bruno Mars will do double duty as host and musical guest on the Oct. 20 episode of Saturday Night Live, NBC announced Monday. He joins an elite group of guests that do both like Mick Jagger and the one that does it best, Justin Timberlake. SNL is one of my favorite shows, but this new cast has got me down. I hope that it will get better. I still think of Kenan Thompson as a new performer and he has been on the show since 2003. I need to get with the times!

Bruno's second album, “Unorthodox Jukebox” is set for release in December.

Christina Applegate (“Married…With Children”, “Up All Night”), will host the Oct. 13 episode with musical guest Passion Pit.
