Driver Pushes Car Through Petty’s Motel Room

Yesterday night around 8:12pm Kenny Price, 19 of Nacogdoches allegedly rammed his Dodge truck into a Black Nissan Sentra.  The Sentra was parked in front of an occupied Petty's Motel Room in Lufkin. The vehicle was intentionally rammed with enough force to push it through the wall and fully into the motel room.

Lufkin Police were called to the location at that time. Someone was staying in the room, but luckily were not inside during the incident.

The destruction was the result of a fight in the parking lot minutes earlier. It involved another man and a woman, along with the suspect. After the fight Price got in his pickup and drove towards the exit. Then he circled back around, and rammed the woman's car as she and the other man stood near it. None of the parties involved reported any injuries.

Price then fed the scene of the accident, before police arrived. Later that night around 9:20 Price called dispatch and agreed to meet with Lufkin Police. Later during that meeting near the scene, Price was taken into custody in a parking lot on Timberland Drive.

Charges are pending against Price, and the investigation is ongoing at this time. There was no mention of drugs, or alcohol being involved in the incident. We are only left to think that it was a domestic issue.

Petty's Motel is on the North end of Timberland Dr. in Lufkin. Hunan Restaurant, a local favorite in the same complex, was unaffected. Thanks to LPD for the story via Facebook.
