Estate Sale Features This Red 65 El Camino In Center, Texas
As I was looking at pictures from upcoming estate sales in the area, I noticed a red 1965 El Camino. It is a head turner and a bit of a head scratcher at the same time.
This is a second generation El Camino. They ran from 1964 -1967 and were based on the Chevrolet Chevelle platform. My uncle had a 1965 Red Chevelle, so this car really caught my eye.
Looking closely at the picture it has a Malibu call out on the back panel. All Malibus were Chevelles, but there was no Malibu trim level on the El Camino in 1965.

That lead me to believe that it was a 'wish' car for the person that owned it. Meaning they customized it how they wished it had come from the factory.
When I saw the 350 badges on the front, that confirmed it. There might very well be a 350 ci engine in the vehicle; they just didn't come like that from the factory.
This is most likely an older restoration and a fairly nice one, though it's hard to tell when you are just looking at a few pictures. If that vehicle looks like something that would interest you, an estate sale is coming up where you can purchase it.
