
This Colorful Cultural Fiesta Has Become A Tradition In Nacogdoches, Texas
The Nacogdoches Public Library is once again hosting the Dia de Los Muertos Festival on the square in downtown Nacogdoches. This is a beautiful cultural event and it all starts at 4pm this Saturday, November 5, 2022.
You can come out and celebrate with the entire community. There will be food vendors, free entertainment, cultural art, and artisan vendors for you to explore.
If you are looking for a way to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with your entire family this is an event created for just that purpose. Live music will fill the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches until the event is over at 8pm.
Dia de los Muertos Is A Day To Celebrate Those Who Have Passed On
They are calling for ofrendas at the festival. You can build an altar in memory of your loved one, and applications are available at the Nacogdoches Public Library.
Dia de los Muertos is a holiday of celebrating, not mourning the dead. It is a two-day holiday that is observed to reunite the living and the dead.
Today, November 1, 2022 is the start of the Day Of The Dead holiday. This is like a huge family reunion and dead ancestors are the guests of honor.
