I Got My Free COVID Tests From The U.S. Government In Lufkin, Texas

Every physical address in the United States can order four, free COVID-19 tests delivered right to your mailbox. I already got mine, and it couldn't have been easier.

It only took nine days for the tests to come in the mail after ordering them online at the COVIDtests.gov website. I was actually amazed that they came so quickly.

You do have to have a valid residential address. I tried to get some sent to the station and it was a no-go. It is the U.S. post office, so they know a thing or two about the addresses you are submitting.

The Tests Look Really Easy To Use 

Everyone in my household is well, and not having any COVID symptoms. That is a blessing, but that could change, so we got the tests.

They came with an instruction pamphlet in English with no translations. The plain boxes clearly stated what was inside and all the things you would need to test yourself at home.

It's great knowing that if the need was to arise to test someone we now have the tools. I did notice that they expire in about 6 months.

Did The Government Send Out Covid Tests Because They Were About To Expire? 

The short answer is no. I have sources that test people daily and they all said that was completely normal.

Most of the tests have not received full FDA approval and are still under emergency waivers that limits them to how far out they can put the expiration dates. Once they have submitted their trials to show they are still effective over time, the expiration dates will get longer.

If you don't have a need for the tests in the next 6 months, they should still be effective after the expiration.
