New Brewery And Restaurant Soon In Downtown Lufkin, Texas

As one door closes another one opens. I've found that to be true in life, and it also now applies to breweries in downtown Lufkin.

Just as we thought we were about to have two breweries in downtown Lufkin, we lost Angelina Brewing Company. They closed for good on Saturday, February 5th, 2022.

We are getting closer to the Summer 2022 promised opening of the new Rusty Axe Brewing Company. They will be located at 113 North First Street. You might remember this as the former location of First Street Cafe.

The Rusty Axe Brewing Company Is Coming To Downtown Lufkin, Texas

I've been following the Rusty Axe Brewing Company on facebook and had a front-row seat as they show every milestone leading up to their grand opening. They have been sharing pictures of interesting developments like their brewing equipment being built at Alpha Brewing Operations in Nebraska.

The Rusty Axe has had a website up since June of 2021. They even have a sign-up area, so you can be notified of when their grand opening would be.

They are promising a variety of brews and pub fare when they open. The Rusty Axe will also offer an elevated dining experience for its patrons. I've also read about them serving brick oven pizza.

Craft Beer and Live Music Coming To Downtown Lufkin, Texas

It's right near Maricela's Day Spa close to where South First turns into Frank Street. I'm interested in all of their plans for beer, food, and a new cozy live music venue.

This is something that Lufkin can get behind.
