Highway 69 Blocked In Zavalla at FM1818

An Angelina County Sheriff Officer was involved in a fatal car accident today around  4:10pm. One person died at the scene, and the officer involved will be sent to the hospital via helicopter. No word yet if there were any other occupants in the car.

As you might expect traffic could be blocked still on your way home. When there is an officer involved wreck, DPS has to come out, and even sometimes the Texas Rangers. So there will be delays for at least the next hour, I would assume.
