Hot Air Balloons To Launch Over Lufkin

This is an event coming to Lufkin that is sure to lift your spirits in more than one way. The Lufkin Glow Show is coming to Kit McConnico Park Saturday August 7th from 5-9:30pm. This is going to be a huge first for Lufkin.

Beautiful glowing hot air balloons will illumine the sky that night. You won't want to miss out on this event.

“This is a magical outdoor event that’s great for families, and it’s something we haven’t seen in Lufkin before,” said Taylor Commiato, Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau director. “The hot-air balloon pilots inflate their balloons but keep them tethered to the ground. The burners they use to inflate the balloons create a bright light inside, making these giant balloons glow against the night sky. It’s quite a sight.”

It will not only look beautiful, but a select few will get to enjoy tethered balloon rides. They are also planning to have lots to do while we are staring at the glowing balloons.  Live music, children's actives, food vendors, and more.

Tickets will be $30 per car, with a limit of 6 persons per vehicle, and must be purchased in advance. You can get your tickets now to guarantee your spot.
