Iggy Azalea is gearing up to embrace the next chapter of her career in music. As she first reported while speaking with an Entertainment Tonight reporter during Cardi B’s Fashion Nova launch party on Wednesday (Nov. 14), Iggy claims that she's signed a lucrative new record deal worth $2.7 million.

On Thursday, Iggy elaborated on the news in a series of posts on Twitter where she says that she “literally” just signed a new deal and partnership.

“Proud to say I literally just signed my new deal/partnership!” she wrote. “2.7mil, can sign others, own my masters + 100% independent - I’m feeling like such a bossy grown ass bitch today! Time to get back to ME. I’m so grateful & excited…”

She then added that there will be “an official announcement later in the week” and that she is so excited she “wanted to tell you guys as soon as the pen hit the paper!”

Earlier this month, the rapper revealed on Twitter that she no longer is signed with Island Records. The exact nature of her current deal isn't quite known for sure, but she does say that she's 100 percent independent. Speaking with ET Tonight, Azalea also says she's moving to Atlanta to finish recording her new album.

During Cardi B’s event, Azalea’s beef with Bhad Bhabie came to a head when the latter threw a drink on the former, resulting in another series of back-and-forth social media jabs. The incident perhaps inspired Azalea to make the announcement about her new deal ahead of schedule. Bhad Bhabie previously claimed that her adversary "hasn’t had a career since 2014" and therefore felt it wise to declare the beef over.
