We heard the rumors months ago. The talk around Nacogdoches was that Peking Chinese Restaurant would be moving to a new location. Naturally, this made us all curious, because it's been in the same location on the corner of Austin and North Street for years.

This weekend, everyone got the official confirmation that Peking is, in fact, moving to an entirely new location. This was the post from the Peking Chinese Restaurant Facebook page that confirmed it:

So, there it is. Peking will be closing the doors on the original location for good on December 31, 2019, and will be opening the brand new doors in March 2020. It will be located behind Dirt Cheap on Creek Bend Boulevard, also known as Sorority Row.

This is probably going to take some getting used to. Peking has been on that same corner for so long, it's going to be totally different to not have it there. On the other hand, I'm curious to see what takes over that space. There have also been several rumors about that, but that's a story for another time.

In the meantime, enjoy Peking as much as you can between now and December 31st, because after that, you'll have to wait a few months before you can enjoy it again...
