It’s summertime in Texas, and I think we could all go for a little snowfall right now. Although it’s not happening anytime soon. We all know that the weather in Texas can be extreme at times. Obviously, most people think about the extreme heat that Texas can deal with in the summer months. And yes, that can be intense at times, but you learn to deal with it. But heat is not the only extreme weather Texans need to prepare for.

Texas Weather Can Be Extremely Unpredictable

It’s not abnormal to have a storm roll through Texas with extreme winds strong enough to blow shingles off roofs or send trampolines into neighboring yards. But, while it’s not discussed as much, we still get snow in Texas sometimes.

Not as much as you would see in other Northern states, but it causes quite the problem when we see snow in Texas because most Texans aren’t used to driving in snowy conditions. It’s important to know what to do in the snow, but most times it’s just best to stay home and let the snow melt before attempting to leave the house.
