It seems like most Texans are excited to hear that Vice President JD Vance will be visiting the Texas this week as he will be spending some time visiting the Texas-Mexico border.

When I was growing up, I remember it was a big deal whenever you had a President or Vice President that would be visiting your state.

What Will JD Vance Be Doing in Texas When Visiting?

The Vice President is a very busy man, but he will be in Texas this week visiting Eagle Pass on Wednesday, March 5th.

According to NBCDFW, Vance will be touring a processing facility.

Although there are multiple federal immigration processing facilities in the Eagle Pass area, no word on the exact facility was mentioned, probably for safety.

Why is JD Vance Visiting Texas a Big Deal?

Many Texans will be excited to welcome the Vice President to the Lone Star State as this is the highest-ranking member of the Trump administration to visit the Texas-Mexico border since President Trump took office.

Will Other Government Officials Join JD Vance in Texas?

It’s common for other state officials to join the VP on a visit, such as Governor Greg Abbott, although his office has not confirmed that he or other state leaders will be meeting and escorting JD Vance to the border during his visit.

It’s not certain on how long our Vice President will be visiting the Lone Star State but we sure hope he gets to enjoy some delicious BBQ while he is here.
