What To Expect At Nacogdoches' Busy April 11 Events

Contrary to popular belief, there is always something going on in Nacogdoches. Even if SFA classes aren't in session, there are events going on in and around town. Sometimes, those events overlap. And then sometimes LOTS of events happen all on the same day.

It's beginning to look like April 11th is going to be one of those "lots of events" days. There are - at least - three big events that will all be taking place in Nac that day, so people will have to do some planning to get their schedules ready.

SFA Gardens Garden Gala Plant Sale

The first event is one that we've talked about before. It's the SFA Gardens biannual plant sale. People can get there early, but it kicks off - officially - at 9:00 AM at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center. It wraps up at 2:00 PM that afternoon. (But, if you're hoping to get the plant of your choice, you probably don't want to be late to the sale - You'll miss out...)

Nacogdoches Farmers' Market Spring Fling 2026

The Nacogdoches Farmers' Market is a weekly event in downtown Nacogdoches. However, the Spring Fling is a bigger event each year. According to their Facebook page, this event kicks off at 9:00 AM and goes until 1:00 PM. In addition to the normal vendors, they will also have food trucks, a petting zoo, bounce houses and more.

Nacogdoches Wine Swirl - Red, Wine & Blue

There is a little bit of a break between the end of the other two events and the beginning of this one, but not much. The Nacogdoches Wine Swirl will begin at 5:00 PM and will continue on until 9:00 PM. According to the Wine Swirl Facebook page there will be lots of wineries represented, vendor booths, live music, food trucks, and downtown merchants will be extending their hours so attendees can shop.
