This right here is why we can’t have nice things. You can’t even go out for a nice, peaceful dinner without folks losing their minds and getting into an all-out brawl.

It’s only been two weeks since I wrote about a wild brawl that broke out in a North Texas Chuck E. Cheese parking lot, of all places. I would later learn that it happens more often than you would think, due to exes getting together for their shared kid’s birthday party, which inevitably leads to “baby mama drama.”

And now we have a brawl that erupted at a Pluckers in Mesquite last weekend. This time, however, it involved a bunch of young kids, which you hate to see. But kids can be rough, too.

Of course, I can only speculate as to why the fists were flying at the chicken joint. All I know is that it’s about par for the course these days that a bunch of adults stood by, filming the chaos with their phones, rather than attempting to intervene and break things up.

Then again, here I am sharing the video, so I can’t be too hypocritical. But still, I like to share these videos as an example of how not to act. Not to mention the fact that it’s a chance to reflect and reminisce about all the peaceful dinners I’ve enjoyed.
