While We've Been Hit With A Lot Of Local Restaurant Closing Recently, Some New Ones Are Stepping In All Around East Texas.

The news has been grim as of late when it comes to stories of local eateries closing all around the area due to folks dining out less. But that hasn't stopped some bigger companies from coming in and offering their food and we're just learning about a new chain that's coming soon to our area.

Smalls Sliders features cheeseburger sliders plans to open a location in Tyler Soon.

According to a report from KLTV, Smalls Sliders is being built in the same lot as the new development plan in west Tyler, including a Brookshires Grocery location, near the Sam’s Club on Loop 323 and Earl Campbell Boulevard.

Construction is set to begin in November with a planned opening date in January 2025. The quick service restaurant offers “drive-thru and popular walk-up experiences, serviced from a unique modular construction design, allowing real estate flexibility and rapid construction of new restaurants.”

The chain has been rapidly expanding all across the country.

According to the Longview News-Journal, the franchise group Cajun Burgers LLC is also planning to open locations in Longview, Lufkin and Nacogdoches but no word on when or where those locations will be.

The Tyler and Marshall East Texas “cans,” as the chain refers to the locations, are part of a five-can expansion into Texas as part of a franchising agreement in Arlington. There's several locations already open in Louisiana. Have you tried them yet?
