Jay-Z and Beyonce's $88 million Los Angeles mansion is getting a big upgrade.

According to an April 8 report from TMZ, the hip-hop power couple is planning to build a compound around their home to improve security. The compound will reportedly feature a 10-car carport and two-car garage, as well as living quarters and security guard rooms.

The additions will also include a half-bath and a two-story garage structure, which will be strategically placed. The carport is expected to face the back road of the mansion, while the garage will face the front road of the house.

Hov and Bey originally purchased the mansion in August, which became the highest sale of 2017 in Los Angeles County. At the time of purchase, the 30,000 square-foot home featured six buildings, a basketball court, four outdoor swimming pools, a wellness center, a media room, a spa and staff quarters.

Increased security at the mansion may be a good idea for the couple, as they'll be hitting the road in June for their On the Run II Tour. Kicking off on June 6 in Cardiff, United Kingdom, Jay-Z and Beyonce will play 15 shows in Europe before heading back to North America for more dates.

The North American leg of the On the Run II Tour will begin on July 25 in Cleveland and features stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up on Oct. 2 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
