After more than 150 episodes across six different series, it all comes down to this: One final season of Jessica Jones.

The series, by far the most critically acclaimed of all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series produced for Netflix over the last couple years, returns for its third and final run this summer. With that, Netflix’s corner of the MCU — which included the series DaredevilThe PunisherLuke CageIron Fist, and The Defenders — winds down, as Marvel will instead focus on new series that will be premiering on Disney’s upcoming competitor to Netflix, the new streaming series Disney+.

Netflix and Marvel announced the show’s return date with a brief new teaser:

Here’s the show’s official synopsis:

When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.

Could Jessica Jones return on Disney+? While there’s always a chance, it seems like Marvel’s focus moving forward is on these new shows, which are far more connected to the big-screen MCU — and star characters from the Marvel movies like Vision, Loki, and Winter Soldier — than the Netflix shows ever became. Still, people loved Jessica Jones and Krysten Ritter’s version of the character. Perhaps she could show up on another show, or even a movie, in the future? Jessica Jones returns to Netflix for its final season on June 14.
