Kanye West has been doing his part to help combat the damage done by the California wildfires over the past few weeks.

After issuing a heartfelt message to the citizens who lost their homes in the fires and reportedly hiring firefighters, Yeezy has now planned to make sizable donation to help those affected by the fires. This morning (Nov. 21), TMZ reported that ’Ye will donate $500,000 to wildfire relief and plans to make the announcement via Kim Kardashian on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

'Ye's wife will appear with Degeneres' show to reveal exactly where the donations are going. According to the report, Kim will explain how 'Ye approached Adidas with his proposal to raise funds to help those affected by the fire, and quickly racked up $500,000 for the noble cause. During the episode, Kim will give a $200,000 check to the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Relief Fund and a $200,000 check to the California Fire Foundation.

Kim will also present a $100,000 check to firefighter Michael Williams and his wife. Williams was praised for his heroism when he continued fighting the wildfires after losing his home to them, saving many of his neighbors' homes in the process.

This charitable donation is one of several hospitable efforts the Wests have pulled off this year. Along with Kim's ventures with prison reform, Kanye also donated $150,000 to the family of a security guard who was shot dead by police in Chicago after detaining a suspect.

XXL has reached out to Kanye's team for comment.
