Katy Perry got into her zone and did something we wouldn’t expect from the pop diva. The ‘Part of Me’ singer wowed audiences at BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge with a cover of Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s worldwide anthem ‘N—as in Paris’ from their album ‘Watch the Throne.’

Backed by her live band, who added a guitar twang to the rap duo’s bombastic hit, Perry grabbed a New York fitted hat and started fist pumping to the groove. “This is about to get real embarrassing,” she told the crowd before reciting Yeezy and Hov’s lyrics.

Actually, it wasn’t embarrassing at all. For someone who is known for singing catchy pop tunes, she did a great job of rap-singing the Throne’s braggadocios rhymes.

Perry kept her performance really clean and uttered no profanities. Instead of saying motherf—er, she used “mofo” and instead of saying “that s— cray,” she said “that so cray.” Perry also gets extra props for not using the N-word and instead use the replacement word “ninja.”

All and all, Katy Perry showed a lot of swag with her cover of ‘N—as in Paris.’

“K-Pez is in the hizzy house!”
