Citizens National Bank is having a non-perishable food drive for those struggling in the Houston and Gulf Coast area.

With the hopes of helping an incredible number of people effected by these storms, Citizens National Bank has teamed up with Houston Food Bank.

From now till September 30th, drop off something on this list, and CNB will handle all of the pickup and transport of the donations. Making one trip on September 12th and one on October 2nd.

Here is a list of the most needed items:

  • “Ready to eat” (canned goods with pop-tops, tuna, meats, etc.)
  • Powdered milk
  • Boxed or bagged cereal
  • Canned fruit/fruit cups
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Cleaning supplies (specifically, bleach and paper towels)
  • Personal hygiene items (specifically, bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo)
  • Disposable diapers

You can also make a cash donation or check made payable to the Houston Food Bank. Cash donations will be used to purchase food items, but they cannot provide receipt for tax deductions. You can make a difference online just by going to houstonfoodbank.org.
