Monday Basketball: Tatum Girls Split Pair of Games
EMORY -- The Tatum Lady Eagles split a pair of games in the Rains Thanksgiving Tip-off on Monday.
Tatum fell first to Van, 58-45 before redeeming itself against John Tyler with a 56-42 victory.
Essence Allen and Jayla Hooper tied for the lead in scoring with 14 apiece in the loss to the Lady Vandals. Allen added five rebounds and four assists while Hooper finished with seven rebounds and three assists.
Ashton Brown took control in the game against John Tyler. She finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals to lead the Lady Eagles to victory. Allen was also big in the victory with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Tatum will next face Paris in a crossover game at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Bullard girls take out Whitehouse
BULLARD -- The Lady Panther kept their perfect record, taking out Whitehouse 64-23 on Monday in Bullard.
Day led Bullard with 17 points while Foster added 16. The Lady Panther improved to 11-0. Their next game is at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27 against Timpson in Bullard.
