Growing up in this area, we went to Nacogdoches a lot. Since we went there so often, we knew where to get specialty items in different stores. One of those items was a frozen Dr Pepper. It was - basically - a Dr Pepper-flavored Icee.

And, there was only one store in Nacogdoches at the time that served those. It was at the gas station on the corner of Stallings Drive and Starr Avenue. I believe that it was a Shell station, if I remember correctly.

Then, a few years ago, that store shut down. There were no more frozen Dr Peppers. For a time, we thought that it might make a comeback. However, the gas pumps were then removed, followed by the awning that was over them. We thought that it would just continue to fall into disrepair.

Then, yesterday as I drove by, I saw this:

That's an all-new awning that's being built, and being built pretty quickly.

So, we know that something is happening. It's actually very exciting to know that the building won't be standing vacant anymore. It's always better than it just being abandoned.

But, the real question is: Will there be frozen Dr Peppers there again? You know, priorities. We need to know these things. It's very, VERY important. So, if anyone can answer that for me, I'd appreciate it.
