On your way to work or school today, you may have noticed a change on Angelina and Raguet Streets in Lufkin. Pineywoods Community Academy and the Lufkin Police Department have been working together to make this as easy as possible for everyone involved. Their have been contra-flow efforts on Raguet, and they sped things up, and made for a safer drop off experience.

Continuing on this theme of drop-line safety, and speed, LPD determined southbound traffic on Angelina Street would not be allowed to turn on South Raguet during these times. Now all traffic will have to travel north on Angelina to turn right on South Raguet. An officer blocked that left turn lane this morning, and that worked out nicely.
