Pregnant Dog Trapped Under Sidewalk Miraculously Rescued

A stray pregnant dog was saved from a most unusual -- and frightening -- place.

The pooch, in Russia, somehow got buried under a sidewalk and was rescued when a man who lives in the neighborhood heard her cries.

Workers had been in the area to fix a hole in the sidewalk and for reasons that are not known, the dog became trapped underneath the repairs.

The dog whimpered for two days before a couple that lives nearby decided to take action. The man dug up some bricks and found the dog underneath. The animal was saved, but she did lose her puppies.

The dog is now expected to be put up for adoption.
