Ruthie Foster Rescheduled To Bring Soul To The Pines Theater

Award-winning, singer-songwriter Ruthie Foster will bring us an amazing show all the way from Austin, Texas. Ruthie has been nominated for three Grammys and won many Blue Music and Austin Music Awards over the years.

Ruthie was going to be at the Pines Theater on Thursday, November 18th, 2021. Now that has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 17th, 2022.

Seats start at $30 and you can get your tickets now. If you want to sit closer the tickets go up to $50 each. There isn't a bad seat in the house at the Pines Theater.

Who Is Ruthie Foster

Our Capitol city is home to many musicians from all types of genres. We are so fortunate to be so close to Austin, Texas and benefit from all this talent being nearby.

Ruthie's latest album, Joy Comes Back, described as “some folk, some blues, some soul, some rock, some gospel,” illustrates a genre-spanning talent.

Ruthie Foster shared the stage with many great performers, such as dueting with Bonnie Raitt, further on standing on the same stage with the Allman Brothers at the New York Beacon Theater, while trading verses with Susan Tedeschi.

Early Life

Growing up in a small central Texas town Ruthie started, as many of us did here in East Texas, singing in church. That's what it's like to come from a gospel family.

Ruthie's dad started her down the road to the blues. Rummaging through old tapes of blues greats started this current path in music.
