Sam Smith broke our collective hearts on Thursday night.

On November 9, the crooner appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden—which was just about a week removed from his stint on Carpool Karaoke and a month after he stopped by Saturday Night Live—where he treated the audience to his new single, "Too Good at Goodbyes."

It was the type of soulful, moody and reflective performance we've come to expect from the 25-year-old British artist, who first broke onto the scene in 2012 as the featured vocalist on Disclosure's "Latch."

Take a look at Smith belting out "Too Good at Goodbyes," up top. Smith's new album, The Thrill of It All, is out now.
