We've been through tropical depressions, tropical storms and hurricanes before. Shoot, some of Deep East Texas had to deal with one earlier this year. However, we're usually done with the tropical stuff by this time of the year. Except that we forgot one thing this year...

It's 2020.

Now, even though it's already October, we're keeping an eye on the Gulf of Mexico. As of right now, there are two areas that we're watching. Tropical Depression Gamma (not really expecting much out of that one), and Tropical Storm Delta.

As of today, this is the current outlook for Delta:

Keep in mind, this is only the 3-day forecast, so there are lots and lots of things that could change before the storm makes landfall. But, we're still keeping an eye on it because...well...because 2020.

I keep reading on Facebook about people being ready for 2020 to be over, and I can't say that I disagree with those statements. Also, I wouldn't mind 2020 going away, WITHOUT a hurricane at the tail-end of it. It could just go out rather smoothly, and that would be just fine. It doesn't really NEED to leave with a bang, right? But, I digress. As I said, I'm going to keep an eye on this storm and see what becomes of it, if anything.
