This is a great time to stock up on reading material. The Friends of the Kurth Memorial Library are inviting all book lovers to their 2019 Spring Book Sale. This is a readers gold mine. There will be many thousands of books to rummage through.

The sale actually started yesterday Monday April 22nd, 2019 at 9am, with Paperbacks and Magazines. Magazines are 10 cents each and paperbacks are priced to fit any budget. Hardcovers go on sale Thursday from 5pm-9pm for members only. Memberships are available to purchase in the foyer all week. This would be the time to get the best books. So a membership is the way to get at the stacks first.

This Friday and Saturday April 26th and 27th, 2019 everything will be open to the general public to buy. Most books are $1.00,First Edition bestsellers $3.00, and coffee table books may be more.There will also be a Bid Table and Rare Books Corner to check out.

The Kurth Memorial Library is next to Pineywoods Academy at 706 South Raguet Street, in Lufkin. All the proceeds of the sale will go back to the Library for new books, equipment, or services. Cost doesn't have to be a barrier to learning, so tell your friends.
