If you were planning on making a stop into a local business the Standpipe Coffee House would be the one this week. Supporting local during this difficult time will make a huge difference in our community.

This week they started keeping new hours, open Monday - Saturday from 7am - 6pm and 8am-6pm on Sundays. This will certainly leave plenty of time to stop in for what many people in Lufkin exclaim as the best coffee ever.

Not only do they have all the great coffee drinks you crave, they had recently started doing Lunch , right before "all this starting going on." If you haven't tried their bowls and salads they have them now to go. They are offering curbside take away only at this time to help protect the staff and community. They are serving Lunch from 11am-2pm.

Standpipe has also made a name for their pastries. These scratch made treats are ready to go on a daily basis. Fresh Food, and fresh coffee, especially when it's hot like today, gotta have the cold brew. It really keeps the acidity down, and makes the coffee much sweeter.

They also sell fresh roasted coffees for you to take with you. If this all sounds good and you want to support a local business, you could pick up a greek salad for lunch and a Topo Chico. They might be able to temp you with a Chocolate Orange Scone for desert.

The Standpipe Coffee House has been in business for nine years at the same location in Downtown Lufkin.
