Big Tex didn't always greet us at the State Fair of Texas, he was a short lived tourist attraction in East Texas.

The State Fair Of Texas looks to hire more than 7000 seasonal employees.

During the months of September and October, you can still get to enjoy at least one part of state fair tradition.

This years' sampling of the fair food has been saved!

Applications are now being accepted for anyone who would like to be the voice of the iconic Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas.
