Just when I thought I kicked the habit, Starbucks reminds me that I just can't quit them.

If you saw the movie It and you want to keep that freaked out feeling going awhile longer, take this short road trip to Southeast Texas and you'll get more spooked. If haunted houses are fun, a huge, then a haunted hotel is even better! A two hour drive from Lufkin gets you to one of the most haunted hotels in all of the US.

Texas has been staying warm and hasn't quite made up its mind to get into fall just yet. But cooler weather is on the way, and fall foliage will peak in October. There are three short trails that will help you make the most of it.

The pumpkin spice lattes are out, so we know the actual pumpkins are not far behind.  East Texas will have plenty of great pumpkin patches up and running this fall, and we've got the first look.

You know it's coming.  The pumpkin spice explosion.  It usually happens around Labor Day, but one East Texas restaurant might beat everyone else by releasing the pumpkin spice latte on this August date.

For all practical purposes, fall probably started three weeks ago with the pumpkin spice world takeover.  That's more noticeable than this scientific equinox stuff anyway. I love the fall!  It's football, cool weather, tailgating food, and we start flavoring everything with pumpkin spice. Yum!

So today, I ran to Walmart for lunch. As I'm on my way to the check out lanes, I found myself on the ground grasping the front of my buggy! Yep, right there in plain view of anyone who cared to see. Ugghhh!
