Texas Forestry Museum’s Family Day
If your looking for interesting free things to do in and around East Texas, the Texas Forestry Museum is always a great place to start. They have another kid friendly, free event, coming up on Saturday, August 25th from 10am - 12n.
This is a celebration of "Timber Raccoon" the museums mascot's birthday. He will be there with all his friends. Smokey Bear, Leo the Lion, and Chef Marco. They will all be on hand making special appearances.
There will be cake, cause you know it's a birthday party, but there is so much more. The Texas Forestry Museum's Family day includes free crafts, games, and a bouncy house. Families are invited to the Museum to participate in activities that they can do together. The best part about it, it's absolutely free, thanks to event sponsor LIveWell Athletic Club. See You There!
The Texas Forestry Museum is home to the story of the forests of Texas. The complexity of the natural resource, the legacy of the industry, and the current and future role of forest management practices can be explored through three galleries, outdoor exhibits, and an Urban Wildscape Trail.
