The Pines is located in historic downtown Lufkin and was completely refurbished after it was purchased by the City Of Lufkin back in 2007. Watching movies there really takes you back in time.

The Pines originally started operation in 1925 and the 100th anniversary is coming up soon. The venue is used for lots of local shows and performances.

Let's share the memories and focus on the great movie lineup coming to the Pines for the 2022 season. They will be showing a total of 12 movies, once a month, in the Pines classic film series. All of the movies start at 7 pm.

O Brother, Where Art Thou?  - March 11th, 2022

"I thought you was a toad" is my favorite line from any movie. This is just one that you can watch over and over. Set in the deep south during the '30s, it came out in December of 2011.

The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre - April 8th, 2022

This movie was set in 1920's Mexico and is adapted from the book of the same name. It came out in 1948 and was a movie you could have most likely seen at the Pines in their prime.

Beetlejuice - October 14th, 2022

This is such a great movie with Geena Davis and Michael Keaton. Perfect for Halloween, and the big musical number will sound grand at the Pines.
