The Chamber Hosts A Virtual Women’s Networking Event

The Lufkin | Angelina County Chamber of Commerce is having an online networking event. I've heard about these events before, and the speakers have always been very interesting. This is a Women's Networking Event, but since it will be virtual, guys we might get our chance. Who knows they might boot you out, but I doubt it.

If you or your business is a member of the Chamber this might be a great way to ease into one of these events, since you won't have to leave your desk. I think what made me gravitate to this one is the subject matter.

It's entitled the Neuroscience of First Impressions. You know they say you only get one chance to make a first impression, so it would be interesting for business professionals to know what happens at this moment. The Vice President of Marketing for PineCrest Healthy Living Community - Jill Jones, will be making the presentation.

The event is Public on Facebook, and it's happening on Thursday, August 13th bright and early from 8:30-9:30am. If you already have a meeting at that time, perhaps they will have it on a replay for you.

This is a great way to improve your body language and learn things to say to make a great first impression. First impressions color the way you think of people and places forever. Making that wrinkle in someones brain, that includes you, a positive one is a skill you can hone.
