The Magic Of The Polar Express Train Ride Returns To Palestine, Texas

Today (Friday, November 19th, 2021) is the maiden voyage of the Polar Express at the Texas State Railroad in Palestine. This is the perfect time to get in on the holiday train.

I have never gone on this Polar Express Train ride. I have been on the trains there many times. Once it was dressed as Thomas The Tank Engine.

I have heard many great things about the Polar Express train ride from friends and family. The one thing that comes to mind is the piping hot chocolate and cookies served by chefs as they recite the classic children's book that started all of this, "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg.

How Much Are Tickets

Prices range from $30 for kids 2-12 in coach on a diesel train to $100 for adults in the dome or presidential cars on the steam train. For full schedules and pricing CLICK HERE. 

If you and your significant other want to go in style with your two kids that are over 12 it could cost your family over $400 dollars. This is not a quick trip and there is a lot to do, so the question becomes if the cost is worth the experience to you.

Santa is there along with all of his elves to greet you when you get on the train. He gives everyone their first gift of the Christmas season.

Just like in the movie and book it's a bell that only the true believers can hear ring. Then you are off riding the rails, on a holiday adventure.
