Tyler Police are investigating several burglaries at cell phone stores that could all be linked.  In addition to Tyler, stores in Lindale, Mineola, Canton, and Terrell were also hit.

The Tyler Police Department said Monday that they're investigating several burglaries at cell phone stores, and they said there are at least three people involved.

They think all of the suspects are from outside the Tyler area because other cell phone businesses in Lindale, Mineola, Canton, and Terrell were also burglarized. The city said on its website that the suspects covered their identity and were seen driving a small silver sedan.  They didn't give a license plate number.

All of the attempted burglaries in Tyler happened yesterday (Monday, May 13th) between 2 and 4 am.

These are the Tyler cell phone stores affected:

AT&T at 4757 S Broadway

Verizon at 1016 WSW Loop 323

AT&T at  2028 Loop 323 ESE

The suspects didn't get away with much merchandise, but in one case a window was broken out and in another, there was broken glass near the front door.  It's not clear what exactly they were after.

Tyler Police are encouraging cell phone businesses to "secure their merchandise after business hours and review your security measures."

If you have tips on the burglaries, contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
