The ‘Twilight’ series has infected another facet of popular culture: the live stage musical.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that an Off-Broadway theater will debut a one-night-only staged reading of a musical version of the popular teen romance movie and book series. The show is scheduled for Jan. 16 at New World Stages in New York City. All proceeds will go to charity.

The show’s official website describes the event as a “parody of the ‘Twilight’ saga’ in the same vein as ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’. It will use the story’s principal characters, Bella and Edward, as a vehicle to examine the obsession with the popular series of books and films.

If you can’t make it to New York and you’re dying to see the show, you watch a scene from the musical below. And don’t forget to vote in our ‘Twilight’ vs. Harry Potter poll.
