The third season of UnREAL has quite a bit riding on it after the disaster of Season 2, and Lifetime isn’t taking any chances. The once-breakout reality drama has officially pushed back Season 3 to 2018, leaving the whole of this year in Everlasting wait.

Constance Zimmer first announced as much over Twitter, setting early 2018 as a target window before Lifetime stepped up to confirm. The third season renewal was initially announced last June, while the second season aired its car-flipping finale in August. No explicit reason was given for the delay.

The third season will feature Masters of Sex alum Caitlin Fitzgerald as the first female Everlasting lead, Serena, described as “a successful Silicon Valley venture capitalist who’ll win America over with her outward strength and inner vulnerability.” Elsewhere, UnREAL Season 3 has added its third showrunner in as many years, setting executive producer Stacy Rukeyser to take over from Carol Barbee, who herself assumed the position from series creator Marti Noxon.

At the very least, stars Shiri Appleby, Constance Zimmer, Craig Bierko, Josh Kelly, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Genevieve Buchner are expected to return, but is UnREAL Season 3 already in trouble?
