Today (March 8th) is International Women's Day and the US Air Force is celebrating by showing off their female pilots as superheroes! Marvel's new film Captain Marvel comes out today with a female lead playing the role of a fighter pilot and the US Air Force wants to remind you that all of their pilots are superheroes.

In the comics, Captain Marvel was the first female fighter pilot, but in real life, the first was Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt who now works with the recruitment program. It's come out recently that there's a huge shortage of pilots, so videos like the one above are intended to bring in even more superheroes! The video will be seen in a large TV and movie theater ad campaign throughout the month of March.
