The Lufkin Municipal Court is where go to settle tickets and other city issues in Lufkin. So usually when you go there, it's not always a good thing. But yesterday we got a behind the scenes look at the new Lufkin Municipal Courthouse with amazing one time only access.

It was cool to be able to see the Judges quarters, Jury Room, and Marshals office with unfettered access yesterday. From now on that building means business and this will never been seen again, unless I get a ticket!

The City Municipal Court building has been named in honor of Lufkin City Manager Paul Parker. During the ribbon cutting ceremonies yesterday, Mayor Bob Brown and Deputy City Manager Keith Wright unveilded the official plaque which is placed behind the judge's desk in the court room. It was a touching moment. If you don't know his story, he is an amazing guy.
