What you are about to witness could have ended much worse. This is one near miss that you won't want to miss.

On Thursday July 22nd, 2021 this Semi-Truck with a flat bed full of lumber was crossing the tracks in Lufkin. This is one of the wackiest intersections in Lufkin, and that's saying a lot.

The near calamity occurred at the railroad crossing between Feagin Drive and Southwood Drive where College drive becomes Feagin.

When this video was brought to my attention I lost my mind. This is so Lufkin.

Considering the price of lumber today, I don't know what would have been more expensive: dealing with a train derailment, or the wood on the back of the truck being destroyed.

Warning, this video contains profanity and may not be suitable for children and sensitive adults.

This time it was my "Internet Investigator Extraordinaire,"  Angie LeFloor. You should go get a cut and a color from her at Maricela's Day Spa. Just be prepared to wait as  she is always booked up.

Also special thanks to the creator of the video, Devante Miller of Lufkin. Perfect commentary, and talk about being at the right place at the right time. I reached out to him on facebook, and he is a solid guy. You can follow him on TicTok @donvon102
