The Zoo Safari Summer Camp last year was mostly a causality of Covid-19. This year the Ellen Trout Zoo is determined to get it back on track. They will do everything they can to keep the students at the camp safe, starting with pushing back registration until April 13th, 2021.

There is a new registration system for summer camp this year. Anyone can register on April 13th, and Friends Of Ellen Trout Zoo will get a discount on their registration fees. There will not be a code this year, but as long as your membership is current, you will get the reduced price. Summer Camp is $75 a week, $65 a week for members.

We are so close to turning a corner with Covid, infection rates are going down. More and more people are doing the right thing and getting the vaccine.  When we get closer to the date of camp and registration, hours will be decided. If you want to get ready now for registration, check your zoo membership, or become a member visit www.friendsofellentroutzoo.com

The Ellen Trout Zoo is still recovering from our brutal winter storm. Though you wouldn't know if by the weather recently, the week before was a hard one for everyone in the Pineywoods. That includes the workers and animals at the zoo. They are actually still closed to the public as I write this, with lots of work going on behind the scenes to get everything fixed and ready for guests again.
