It was a beautiful East Texas day as another year of Easter fun unfolded at Kit McConnico park in Lufkin.

Perfect day, and lots of happy kids, started off the Easter weekend on a happy note for us here at K-Fox 955. As always we had over 10,000 Easter eggs for the kids to hunt. This was our 18th Annual hunt, and through it all Mike Akridge and myself had started the hunts each year. Our great relationship with the City Of Lufkin Parks and Recreation is the one constant during this event, and we here appreciate it so much.

Al Meyer Ford being our Title Sponsor this year was great. They even brought by a new F150 for us to inspect during the hunts. All of the volunteers from City Church really made it all run so smoothly. They were all very accommodating, and made this a stress free event for everyone.

Special thanks to Liz for the bilingual addition to the start of the hunts. Plus, Austin Smith who jumped up and sweated it out and because the K-Fox Fox, just don't tell the kids there is a person inside! Also along with the bikes and Easter Baskets we gave away Lufkin Jewelry on the Square gave us tons of jewerly to give away, just in time for Mothers Day gift giving. New this year were sponsor McWilliams and Sons Heating and Air and Head Pediatrics making it all possible. Pony rides and a train for the kids were even added last minute from Carl's Farms. So many people to thank, and I hope the kids had a great time!
