It's High School Football Playoff time again and the Lufkin Panthers have secured their spot in the the District 14-5 A competition. They're in a 3-way tie for first place in their division with The Woodlands and A & M Consolidated.  They will play Spring Dekaney on Friday, November 16 at Sam Houston State.

The Panthers have enjoyed a winning season with the new Head Coach Todd Quick despite the loss of their head Coach John Outlaw last Christmas.  They finish regular seaon play with a record of 7-3.  The playoff game will be broadcast next Friday night on KICKS 105, so be sure to listen if you can't be in the stands and root for the Panthers as they travel to Sam Houston State.
