Lufkin is deep in the search for local Lufkin MLB player, Brandon Belt's $10,000 scavenger hunt. This holiday version of the contest isn't bringing out the best of Lufkin right now.

There have been complaints that people are tearing up private property, and threats to end the contest if it doesn't stop. East Texas Scavenger Hunt released the following message on social media Friday, December 10th, 2021.

Everyone, we’ve had complaints of people tearing up others property. If I get more complaints, I’m going to have to end the scavenger hunt. Please, respect peoples property. Do not tear up other peoples property.
The card is in plain sight. There’s no need to go through and move peoples property.
The card is NOT at the skate ranch.
I want to continue having these scavenger hunts, but in order to do that, we absolutely have to take care of others peoples stuff.

This New Scavenger Hunt Is Harder

As you can see people are going to great lengths to find the card, with Brandon Belt offering another $10,000. The first $10,000 was found quickly.

As of Friday, December 10th, 2021 at 9:33 am the card has yet to be found. The second game's first clue was pushed out on social media via the 'East Texas Scavenger Hunt' and its associated pages on Wednesday.

Later that day the card still wasn't found, so we got a bonus clue.

It is not at a baseball field.

The card has still not been found, and Thursday night we got clue #2 at 5 pm. Good luck to everyone playing along.

Clue #2
Did the first of the clues have you jumping through hoops?
Feeling unsure and outside the loop?
Come on in and think again…
Reflection is key to getting the win!
Everyone is still on the lookout for the card. They did let us know that the clues this weekend would be more specific. Go out there and find that card, but just make sure to respect other people's property while you do it.
Tip:

1 clue will be posted on each of the following days: Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for up to 2 weeks or until the card is found, whichever comes first.

This search is even inspiring some great memes.
