Barbecue Cookoff, Auction To Raise Funds For Angelina Alliance for Children Tomorrow

The Angelina Alliance for Children is holding a barbecue cook-off and auction Saturday night.

I was talking to Trey today from Loving Toyota Scion and he said he had a bunch of cooking to do and I asked him what the event was for, and then looked it up. Very good work they are doing here.

All the proceeds go to Harold’s House, a nonprofit that serves child victims of sexual and physical abuse. Its advocates help the district attorney’s office prosecute cases involving with children. They provide forensic interviews for children who are witnesses in cases or victims of abuse. Harold's House is the only organization that provides this very essential service to the area.

The event will kick off at 6 p.m. and is at Loving Toyota Scion on the loop in Lufkin. The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple.
