At the end of last month, we posted a story about the staff at the Diboll City Hall and their quest to find the owner of a Barbie Doll left in their lobby. It was refreshing to find the city having a bit of summer fun on its Facebook page.

When I first published it, I had little hope that Barbie would actually be reunited with her family. Now I've learned to never underestimate the power of social media, and the determination of the City of Diboll.

Barbie's staycation came to an end on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 after being picked up by her mom. The City of Diboll actually made contact with her family on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, which was the day we published the story.

Followers Of City Of Diboll's Facebook Page Help Reunite Barbie With Family

I like to think that we helped in some way, but who knows? The followers of the City Of Diboll's Facebook page are the ones that should get all the credit.

Barbie went home with lots of stories to share with her mother who starts a new adventure herself when she goes back to school in a few days. The staff said their goodbyes, but the girl's grandmother promised to bring them back for a visit soon.

Barbie went home with lots of new accessories and a couple of pets. All of the accessories that she accumulated went home with her as a fond remembrance of her stay at Diboll City Hall.
